Yvonne,
Acrobat is a .pdf document reader. Although there are several .pdf readers,
in my opinion, Acrobat is one of the best and there is a free version.
I'm not sure how much you know about these specialized files so I'll give
you a brief description.
.PDF = PORTABLE DOCUMENT FILE:
These files are excellent because they are stable in most operating systems.
They can't be corrupted by accidental key strokes and can only be created by
someone using the proprietary software made for that purpose. They take up
less room than a standard document file. So, if you have a current version
of Acrobat on your system, I recommend that you don't remove it.

ADOBE AIR:
this is a recent addition to the Adobe family and I have no idea what it
does. However, it is, in the dormant state, a very tiny program and doesn't
have to be removed. However, I believe that it only works on the Windows 7
platform, not in Windows XP.
I hope this helps. But in general, neither of these programs are memory
hogs and you don't need to be concerned about them if you are trying to free
up memory on your system.
