Hello Mike,

No, I don't have the option to "send messages immediately" selected because
when I have OE opened, I don't want that action.

If I did have that option selected in OE but did not have OE open when I
selected a file to send as an attachment, would OE be able to send the
message immediately?

T I A,

Bob

Hi Bob,

With XP Home & Jaws6.2, I sent several attachments via the context menu /
Send To / mail Recipient
from both my, C, &, D, drives without any problems at all.

In your OE / Tools / options / Send Page, do you have the, " Send Messages
Immediately ", checkbox, checked?
   Take care.
  Mike

  Hello Mike,

I don't know if all systems are exactly the same (probably not) but, in my
case (Win2K OS & JFW 6.2), after following all of your steps as listed
below, the message was not sent immediately. The message was placed in
the
"out box" of Outlook Express awaiting the next chance to be sent when
  ordered from within Outlook Express.

That last little detail might not be known to some users.

  Bob

  Hi Stewart;

I don't know where you are finding the " Send Mail submenu " but, if you
are
referring to the " Send To submenu ", found in the context menu, then here
is what I do to send an attachment from outside of Outlook Express.

  1. Let's say you want to send a file to someone from My Documents. Open
the
My Documents folder and highlight the file you want to send.

  2. With the file highlighted, press the applications / context menu key.

  3. Arrow down to the " Send To " option & press enter.

  4. Now, arrow down to " Mail Recipient " & press enter. Upon pressing
enter
on Mail Recipient, an email will open. This email has the file attached
to
it & all you need to do is fill in to whom you would like to send the
email
to, tab to the edit field, add a message if you would like, & send.

If you are having a different problem, please explain in more detail!
Hope
  this helps. Take care.

  Mike
