So it sounds like it is an XP issue. I don't think this error is significant because the web page seems to load normally. I was just curious what it meant. And I have no idea what a "vota com object" is. Heck, I'm probably not even spelling it right. I'm spelling it the way I hear JAWS pronounce it.

HI Gerald,
I also get the same message on my XP Pro machine using JFW 12 latest build. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. I will note I don't get this message on my other box using Win 7 and the same version of JAWS.

Best Regards, Cornell

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Strange Error Message

Hi gang. Once in a while, when I activate a link to access a web page using IE 8, JAWS announces "Error loading vota com object" or something like that while the page is loading. At least that's what it sounds like to me. Any idea what this means? It only happens infrequently and randomly. Thanks.

Gerald
