I would honestly just add a link to that file, that then opens in a new window, but if you wanted to actually sort of embed it in the page, you'd generally use something like an <object /> tag, but haven't really done anything like that with videos myself, but here's the w3schools.com page on that tag:

I want to add a video to my web site. I have been toying with various html code examples and can not get anything to work. I do not want it to auto play but have a link. The link could be to another page that will auto play. Just do not want it to start when someone reads the story associated. Where can I find a good example. The file on my server is addressed as “../videos/filename.mov”
