I think a good place to post this question would be on the Blind Programming
mailing list. To subscribe, send a message to:
[email protected] and put subscribe in the subject line. You
could also send a message to the same address and put FAQ in the subject
line for frequently asked questions.
In the meantime, if you have the latest build of Jaws 12 you might download
a copy of Visual Basic 2010 Express edition from Microsoft. Jaws works
reasonably well with this version and there are links to tutorials in the
startup screen. You must have the latest build of Jaws for the 2010 to be
accessible.
I was very fortunate to have some sighted assistance to help give me a push
in the right direction when I started learning Visual Studio and VB. This is
why I am referring you to the Blind Programming list since hopefully someone
there will have experience with starting this process entirely on their own.
Good luck,
Russ Breitenstein

I am totally blind and may have an opportunity for a job programming in VB,
can somebody please direct me to tutorials, manuals and learning tools for
this?
