are you sure that the router has wireless capabilities?

I have another question. I have a Toshiba laptop, and I am using a belkins
router, and as long as I sit where I can plug a wire into the laptop and
router, it works good, but when I take the wire off from it, then I cannot
get on the internet, or I cannot download email. does the Toshiba works
with a belkins router or do I need another router. I do have the drivers
install on the laptop.
