The maximum USB length is 3 meters or around 10 feet. This includes both the extender and the device cable. If you have any devices that might draw significant power, I would recommend a powered USB hub as well.

I thought it might be like a WI-Fi connection, where you can connect
repeaters to the network, thereby extending the reach of the Wi-Fi area, but
