Yeah, it is strange, but I tried your suggestion to use control F6, and it
works, even when I alt tab out and back into Gold Wave.  Thanks.  That
little Gold Wave glitch or whatever it was sure was annoying.

I've never experienced that. I tried to reproduce your problem  a minute 
ago but could not! You could use control plus f6 key to cycle between 
open windows. Tell us what happens then
