Right arrow and simply arrow down to desktop create shortcut. Then hit enter. I was providing the shortcut command in my first message to prompt independent thinking as a person feels better when they figure something out for themselves in my experience. That will not do what he wants. That will just open it grin. What he needs to do is go into start menu then programs. Then go into accessories and then arrow down to wordpad. When it is highlighted hit applications and up to properties. When in here he can up arrow to properties and hit enter.
