I, too, have done it, but it's been a while back. For me, my computer
crashed while I was working on a document in Word and also had one or two
others open. When I restarted the computer and went into word, there was a
message read by Jaws saying that Word had closed with documents still open
and asking if I wanted to recover them. My memory is that to accomplish
this, I just had to hit the f6 key which took me to a task pane where the
documents were listed and would open with enter. This might not be exactly
how it worked, but I do clearly remember having to use the f6 key to
retrieve the documents. Jaws was fully functional during the entire process.

I wish I could. I do apologize but like I said it has been a very very very
long time since I have done that. I think it had crashed and given me the
option to bring it back. The process once started was not hard.

Hi Matthew,
I ran into this same problem awhile back, & haven't been able to figure
out
how to recover an unsaved document. Would you please post the steps on
how
to do so? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take
care.
Mike

I have read the documentation for Word 2003, and see how this can be
done,
the question is: has anyone done it with a screen-reader?
Thanks,
Rick Justice
