Hello Josh. As for the winamp not shutting down I am not toally sure about this but try going into preferences of win amp and then into general preferences and uncheck system tray if it is. On the file extension change highlight the one you want to open and hit applications and enter on open with. Go to browse I think it is. Find what you want to open it with and then tab and check always use this to open the file. Then enter on ok. Hope this helps.
