Hi,

You start making your template in MS WORD 2003, just as you start a normal document. At any moment, when you would like to save it
you choos to save it as Word template.

There are two main purposes of using templates, 1 is to predefine a document layout and a text you want to use more than once in your documents. The second reason is to have macros (Repeating actions, or even small programs) you want to apply to the documents you make.

I guess you want to use it for the first described reason. If so when you open your windows explorer and select the template, just hit the enter key and you open a new document based on that template. The changes you make here, will be saved on the document, the template remains
as you created it.

If you have further and more specific question, please ask them.

Regards,
Nikolay
