Truer words were never spoken. When I first got my computer in 97 I didn't
trust myself even to install programs. I would call our local agency for
the blind to do for me things which I
now take for granted. I told my children I didn't want the folk from the
local agency for the blind to even accidentally view something they might
think I might have visited.----- Original Message -----

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] startup menue in W7
A funny computer related incident occurred when I let a so-called friend
use
my computer to check his e-mail.
I'm mentioning this because it could easily happen to anyone using a
computer, who is blind.
I had a rehearsal and was bringing up the words to a song when my singer
started laughing hysterically. I asked what was going on and she told me.
After the computer was running for about five minutes, a picture of a
woman's breasts appeared with a link below it that said, "To see more,
I was very embarrassed to say the least.
Apparently, my so-called friend had been visiting one of the X rated web
sites on my computer and picked up some kind of malware. That is the very
last time I will ever let him use my computer.
I scanned the system, performing a full scan which takes hours but the
malware was removed.
The moral of this story is, be careful who you allow to use your computer,
especially when you can't see what they're doing.

I'm assuming the game itself is actually opening up. To fix this There's a
few solutions:
1. Start Menu:
a. Activate the Start button
b. then go to All Programs,
c. Then go to Startup.
d. Right-click the game in the Startup folder e. Select Delete to remove
it
from the Startup folder.
2. MSCONFIG Settings:
a. Hold the Windows key and press R to open the Run window.
b. Type "msconfig" and press "Enter".
c. Click the "Startup" tab.
d. Uncheck any startup program you don't want to run during startup.
e. Click "OK".
You can then choose to restart your computer immediately or later.
3. The Program Itself:
a. Either you or your youngin' open the program you wish to disable from
running at startup.
b/ Look for its Options or Preferences.
c. Browse through these options for an option to "Run Program at Startup."
Disable it.

My son has been on my user account and now I have a game that comes up
everytime I turn the computer on.and I assume, then, that it is on the
startup menue.I have tried looking it up in Windows Help, but no
joy.Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this.I'm having to turn it
off, EVERY time I turn on my machine.Any help would probably shorten
his grounding time..
Thanks
