Hi, I spoke With Mike an Barbra off list and apparently there was an upgrade for MSE. He was kind enough to send me the eccicutible and after installing it, everything is fine now. You would think, the program would notify me that it needs to be upgraded after opening the program, but it didn't. Thankyou Mike!

Someone on the list correct me if I'm wrong. There are two things about MSE to remember. The reason you're getting that message is most likely because your virus definitions are out of date. If you set up a scheduled scan the definitions are updated just before the scan. If you want the definitions to update themselves every day you must turn on windows automatic updates. I wanted to monitor this before I posted a question. I run a full scan at least once a week and update it every so often. My question is how come it keeps saying system potentially unprotected every three days? It appears I find myself doing a full scan every three days or a quick scan daily. What's going on or is this common? Before, I never got this system potentially unprotected message so frequent. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thankyou.
