Hi Yvonne, Have you tried tabbing when you hear, Tasks Tab? I'm only guessing but, your ISP may be having some problems & when you press the F5 key your computer is having problems retrieving new email because of some kind of Internet interruption. Like I say, this is only a guess. I've had similar problems when we've had Internet interruptions. One thing you might try is look in your Outbox to see if there are any unsent messages in there. If there are unsent messages, you have had Internet problems. Take care. Mike
