Yes, there is an add-on that makes still incompatible extensions work with newer FF versions and it's called Add-on Compatibility Reporter; after installing and restarting Firefox it sort of enables those add-ons so now I can use WebVisum and other still incompatible add-ons with FF 5 just fine. Until this mess gets sorted out, your best bet is to stick with your current version of Firefox as long as it works with Webvisum.
