Yes, there is an add-on that makes still incompatible extensions work with 
newer FF versions and it's called Add-on Compatibility Reporter; after 
installing and restarting Firefox it sort of enables those add-ons so now I 
can use WebVisum and other still incompatible add-ons with FF 5 just fine.

Here's your expeditious reply.  Webvisum will not work with Firefox 5.
There is supposedly a Firefox add-on that will make it work, but I don't
know whether this is true.  And with the impending release of FF 6 just a
few weeks away, it does not look like Webvisum will be updated to work with
these new releases of FF.  Until this mess gets sorted out, your best bet is
to stick with your current version of Firefox as long as it works with
Webvisum.
