Hi, Yvonne,

I'm not sure how to help you with the thumb drive issues but if I remember correctly, you go to set access and defaults to make windows media player the default player. I think what you do is hit space bar on the customize button and then check the box for making windows media player your default player.

Hope this is somewhat helpful.

when I play a CD or a thumbstick in the USB port media player plays the item
but I keep getting jaws saying the following statement

windows visualation and visulation area
this is annoying especially when listening to a talking book because it
speaks right over the chapter of the book
how can i turn this feature off or at least stop jaws saying it each time i
play something on media player?

also when i use thumbsticks they wont start with media player
how can i get drive e which houses thumbsticks to automatically start with
windows media player?

and how do i make windows media player my default player?

thank you
