Hi, Mike,
I did save the setting and now it works like a charm. There's a setting
in the NVDA menu for browse mode.

Hi RoseMarie,
I found that auto sound browse option under preferences / browse. Any time
you make a change in preferences, then okay the changes, you then need to
Press Insert + N, arrow down to save settings& press enter. Take care.

Hi RoseMarie,
Did you go back into the NVDA menu to save the settings / configuration
after making this change? If not , make the change again,& save your
changes by Pressing Insert + N, arrow to save configuration settings,&
press enter. Also, where do you find this Audio sound browse option?
Take
care.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] turing off browse mode in NVDA
Hi, everyone,
I unchecked the box to have the audio sound for browse mode in NVDA
turned off but when I shut down and then comeback, the audio sound comes
on again. Is there a way to keep it from coming on again? I tabbed to
the ok button and hit enter but maybe there's something I'm not doing
right.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance.
Rosemarie
