Hi,
Had to play about with site to ensure wasn't giving you a bum steer...but if
you follow these simple steps you should be able to get forecast for your
area and save it in your favourites and just how you keep in system tray
have no idea lol
main web site addi is metoffice.go.uk
When page opened navigate to bottom of page and then page up twice and then
arrow down to "view a regional forecast" Choose London and South east in
combi box.
On next page I paged down 8 times and then arrowed down a couple and you
should find edit box for postcode. I tried one I found for "Roehampton",
entered that and entered on "go to postcode location", and and came up with
forecast page for Kingston Upon Thames. That page again I navigated to
bottom of page and then paged up 11 times and that starts you around start
of a 5 day forecast.
Hope if some use but hell if I move again, now know how to set up new page
for a different location lol

Not sure about sitting in system tray as my usage of this PC is tres
simple... However, I use the met office site which I have found easy to
use and you can just whack in postcode, saved setting and kept it in
favourites and is usually quite accurate. Pages are as withmost sites a
bit full of unnecessary rubbish but normally I just navigate to bottom of
page and then page up a number of times until I hit the right section,
bit of a faff but works. I have also tried "Will it rain today", but
couldn't really get on with it...

i don't want one that is long winded neither do i need to include other
countries
just the UK and for the time being london and my area location which as

or if necessary the same information by entering the postcode
does anyone know where i can download such a program?
