Hi Rick;
  I may have given the wrong impression.
I installed the program by downloading it and saving it.
The installer went to my documents like other programs and I ran the installer.
I just haven't done anything with the program yet.
I get some type of message for me to click on a balloon to clean register.

Thanks.

Rich

Hi Rich,
It sounds like the program installed itself, and is very possible malware.
I would try uninstalling it, and then run a virus and malware scan.
It is a good practice not to download any software if you don't know what it
is.
If you have any problems with getting rid of it, let us know.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Safe program?

Hi all;
    I have 12.0 and XP home.
I was trying to open some audios from a digital camera and got a message
that my media player could not open it.
There was a message that asked if I wanted to go to internet explorer and
find a program that would work.
I clicked yes.
When in I E, there was a message that I could down load a free version that
would help clean up my system.
I think it is called Reg Work. So, I installed it and it is on my desk top. I am not sure what it does and how to use it, so, I have not tried running
it.
When I started the PC today, the reg work program came up and said un
registered, and had a list of checked items.
It doesn't seem JAWS friendly.
My questions are, what is this program, is it safe to use, and how to you
use/run it?

Thanks for any help.

Rich
