Don't know goldWave at all, but, for example, in audacity, I'm pretty sure you 
could just load a .wav file into two parallel tracks that are each running 
either lefft/right, and that would therefore render/output as stereo..?

As in, think if you imported the same sound clip to two different tracks, and 
then set the panning of each track to either left or right, wouldn't that at 
the very least render into an audio track with both channels as such?

Not sure if it would really offer much in terms of sound quality, but anyway.
