Hello everyone,

Over the years I've seen some emails on the list here that talk about cell
phones that are blind friendly. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to
them because I was very happy with my simple phone that allowed me to make and
receive calls. I figured my phone was getting the job done and if it ever
broke, I'd just replace it with the same model of phone. Well, my phone is so
old that they don't make them any more.

On Friday, I spilled a large amount of water on my phone. For some strange
reason, it didn't like that. It's time to bury this phone and move into the
21st century and get a new phone.

My question is what types of phones are out there that have the following
qualities.

1. My contract is with A T & T, so need a phone that will work with that
service provider.

2. I need a phone that is very blind friendly to use such as buttons that are
pretty easy to distinguish apart from each other and a phone that has a "voice"
that is easy to understand.

3. I am thinking about getting a phone that will allow me to text and serf the
web. I've never had a phone that does that ... I've just had this phone that I
use to make and receive calls on.

4. I have a lot of music, audio books and other audio files on my computer so
I'd like a phone that is easy to connect to my computer and transfer .mp3, .wav
and other audio files on and off of. I don't want to mess with I-Tunes, so I
guess a phone that has just a music player or some kind of .mp3 player on it.
My computer uses JAWS 8 and 10, I switch back and forth depending on if I'm
using some older programs I have on the computer. I also use XP Pro and
Internet explorer 7.

5. Basically a phone that is VERY blind friendly and isn't too expensive. In
the past, A T & T has made some of their phones available at a lower cost when
I've renewed my contract with them.

I hope this email isn't too vague about what I want.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
