She figured out the problem. The mouse was purchased sometime last
year and she realized that it had come with software. After locating the
disc, she installed it and the mouse is now working.

You could try turning off the computer putting in the mouse and keyboard and
then turning it on. When it comes on it should see them.

Hi everyone,
My wife and I are trying to get a computer to recognize the mouse.
After plugging in the keyboard and mouse, neither one were recognized.
After ten minutes the keyboard was recognized, but the mouse still is not.
The OS is, XP Home. Any help or suggestions are appreciated, also let
me know if any more information is needed.
