Just wondering what, off-hand, any guys would recommend for just recording the
audio output of a windows machine to an audio track, without necessarily having
to actually use a physical microphone, a secondary recording unit, etc., etc.?

As in, literally would just like to record all/any sounds the computer is
rendering.

I know there are various pieces of software out there, and do have two external
MP3 player units with their own built in microphones - don't like that idea
with regard to quality anyway - can record poorly using my phones if wanted to,
and do have another laptop, with an audio line-in, but just wondering if
there's a simpler way to just record what's happening on the PC itsself..?

Also, since there are possible workarounds, and since this isn't too much of an
actual requirement/too necessary as such, I'd only really be interested in free
software/solutions.

Stay well
