Recently, I made a serious request for the key strokes I would need to learn the available RAM on my laptop.
Several people were kind enough to provide the information but one or two others decided to turn it into a joke or a poke at me for the article I managed to get printed. If the same thing happened to one of our list members who was genuinely trying to learn something, that person might go off and complain vociferously about the attitude displayed by a technology based list like this one. I do believe that some of our more capable and knowledgeable members do tend to forget that there are many levels of understanding represented by the participants of this group. Perhaps a better approach might have been to ascertain whether the request was a serious one before taking humorous pot shots at the sender. LOL!
