Hi Tom, You should be able to plug the speakers into the same jack as the headphones. The other jack is most likely for a microphone. I have an Asus laptop. The sound from the speaker is not great. I have a pair of speakers I used to connect to a desktop computer. There is a USB connection on the speakers for power There is also an audio plug. I have two audio jacks on the ASUS, one is obviously for the headphones, since when I plug in the headphones they work. But the other jack does not work for speakers. Is this configuration possible?
