I checked on my phone to see if digit readout could be turned off,&  it
cannot be turned off unless full readout is turned off.  Hopefully I'm wrong
&  someone knows a way to turn the digit readout off.  Take care.

   on the Sampson Haven?
   It's a very accessible phone, but now I could use the tones, rather than
   hearing the numbers pressed.
   This is because the tones could help me raise and lower the volume on my
   hearing aids.
