Dear Alan,

I rebooted the computer and that fixed the problem. Thanks very much for the suggestion though. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] no speech when I'm trying to proofread something

Dear Rosemarie,
Just a shot in the dark, but when this happened to me a couple of times, I
discovered that I had accidentally did a left mouse button lock, which is
JAWS key plus the slash, or the divide key next to the numb key on top of my
key pad.

Hope it might be as simple as this.

Merry Christmas to you and all your family!

With Best Regards,
Alan

Hi, everyone,

The subject line says it all. When I use the right arrow with control, I don’t hear any speech at all. Any ideas as to what could be happening? I don’t know what to do. I tried answering an email from a friend and tried using control right arrow to go to the next word and no speech.

This is really frustrating. Please help.

Thanks very much in advance.

Rosemarie
