Hi
On my HP desktop computer, it was a windows XP system with no wireless
LAN. After upgrading it to windows 7 I decided to also go to a wireless LAN
adapter. I bought the net gear 111 adapter. This worked well at least part
of the time but it had a hard time deciding to connect to the internet.
Meanwhile, My HP laptop was a vista based system that I upgraded to
windows 7. Suddenly the built in LAN wireless adapter quit working. I went
on E-Bay and bought a new USB Minnie wireless adapter plugged it in loaded
the software and it has been running perfectly ever since.
So, I bought the exact same USB Minnie adapter and installed it on the
desktop machine. Seeing as how it was designed for everything from xp to
windows 7, it seemed perfect. Well, it isn't working on that computer.
However, with the Minnie adapter plugged in, when I now plug in the net gear
111 adapter I get my full connection to the internet.
My question is why is it that the net gear prefers to have the other
wireless adapter plugged in at the same time. Also, what do I do to get the
USB Minnie wireless adapter to be the wireless adapter of choice?
Thank you.
God bless,
Mark
