I'm using Office 2007, and the Go To command can be useful for this. I don't have 2003, but believe this will also work in that version.
Press f5 or ctrl+g to open the Go To dialog.
Type the range you want to select, and then press enter. In your example, this is b2:f17

Subject: [Blind-Computing] an Excel "how to?"

Aside from the usualshift+down arrow, sellecting one line at a time, is there a keystroke, or keyboard command that will enable me to select a large number of sells?

For instance: If I wanted to select B2 through F 17, is there a command or keystroke that will do this in one stroke, or set of strokes?

I'm using office 2003, and XP professional.
