Okay, Bob: Here's how it goes.
I do an extraction and I get two copies, except for rare instances.
I don't know if this is accurate, or not. However, when the digital program
was in it's infancy, there was an explanation that you would get two copies
in the event that there was something wrong with one, you could switch to
the other. That was given only brief mention, however.
In any event, it is on the "extract all" that this strange thing occurs.

Cliff,
It appears to me that you are using "extract" and "open" to mean the same
thing. Right?
So, "I get two copies, of the same material" means that you get duplicate
files within the same folder? No? Explain please!

Bob:
I mean that I've downloaded a book or magazine as a "zipt file".
I have it go to the file "books" or "Magazines" in the "downloads" file.
When I wish to read that particular book/magazine, I copy or, rarely, move
the original to my cartridge.
When I "extract" the files, I get two copies, of the same material.
Every once in a great, I get only one copy, on opening. I'd like to see
this
happen, full time.

Cliff,
I don't believe that it is possible to have two files with the same name
within one folder.
So, where the two copies of the same book or magazine appearing?
Also, what do you mean when you say that you "open a downloaded book or
magazine"?

Still on the subject of downloaded books/magazines:
When I open a downloaded book or magazine, I get two copies. Why is this
and how do convince the computer to give me only one copy?
On certain rare occasions, I'll get only one copy, but not usually.
