Another way would be directly in Winamp: go CTRL+P to preferences, arrow to 
"file types", then by tabbing you'll find various buttons to select all, 
audio only, video only etc; so press the "all" button and that should select 
all supported files.

u can do it  when u on a media file
press application  &
arro down to select ( open with)
or open with sub menue
arro again if you find choose a difault program
press enter
select winamp and check on always open with selected program
press enter or tab to press ok
u can do this with all type of files to select a difault program to open it
