downloaded digital audios are listed, now, when the folder opens, it's
arranged 3,1,2....and I want it 1, 2, 3, and would like to know if there's a
way to rearrange them so that I can do the entire folder at once

Tom,

Detailed answers usually are given in response to detailed questions.

You asked "how to put ... audio books in a folder in a different order?"

That general question has been answered in general terms.

You didn't specify what kind of "different order" you desire! Do you want
the folders/files ordered by name or by date or by size? How are these
folders/files ordered currently? what do you want to accomplish by changing
their current order?

It is easier to provide specific assistance if we know your current
conditions and exactly how you wish to change those conditions.

bob,
I'm sure this explanation makes sense to you, and yes, I know what to do
to swich from pc to jaws cursor, but that's it on what I know about using
the jaws cursor. that's what I get for teaching myself to use jaws. I hope
this senior can tell this 2nd grader what to do so he can sort these digital
books. tom

Any files in any folder are sorted/arranged by one of the column headings,
for example, name, file type, date saved, etc.

Use the JAWS cursor to click on the column heading that represents the
ordering you prefer. You can switch between ascending order and descending
order by clicking the column heading once more.

To rearrange the order in which files are sorted by name, you can rename the
files; for example, add numeric prefixes to existing file names. Remember
that the numbers 10 and 100 will be sorted after 1 and before 2 so leading
zeroes may be necessary, for example, 001, 002, etc.
