It would be quite a few steps.  You can't edit a 3GP notes file directly.
It has to be converted to a .wav file which can be done with Companion.  Did
the user stop the recording properly before powering off the Stream?  If not
the recording is probably corrupted.  The card file system may also be
corrupted which can be fixed with a computer.  Checking the card gives more
info.
