Dear all, Further to my earlier correspondence, I am unable to get into my Windows using the F8 option. I have been advised that it may mean that my hard disc is gone? Since I am on holidays, I am considering reinstalling Windows but have never tried this before. I have the system restore disc for this HP work station and I believe there is a label on the machine itself with the Windows seriel number. This is a HP work station running Windows Vista business.
Can some kind soul provide me with step by step instructions on how to ensure that my hard disc is absolutely clean and reinstalling / restoring Windows? Also, is restoring or reinstalling Windows one and the same thing?
