Hi Dan, Try the following;
1. Press your windows key + E keystroke for Windows Explorer. 2. Press Alt + T, for tools menu, & press the letter O, for options. 3. press control + Tab, to the view page. 4. and Now, tab to the Tree view files & folders list of settings. 5. Now, arrow down to the one that says, "Hide extensions for known file types," and make sure this is off. If it's on, press the spacebar to turn it off. 6. Now, tab to Apply press the spacebar, then tab to apply to all folders, press the spacebar again, and then press the letter Y to confirm the prompt. Tab to okay press enter & you should be done. Your computer should now show extension types for all files. Hope this helps. Take care.
