Hi Everyone
I am having problems with my Eye Pal, I'm running version 4.1 and JAWS 13. The Eye Pal seems to be working fine, that is, I hear the camera shutter sound and a sighted friend tells me that what I am scanning comes up on the monitor. What isn't happening is any speech. When I start the program I am not getting the "camera started" statement nor any speech output of the text. What I am getting is speech for the menu options and related lists. When I go to the 'Settings', when I tab to the 'Test' I am not hearing the selected voice of which there is a list of 16. When I originally installed the software I had some problems but I'm not sure what I did but everything was working great for a number of months. After not using it for a while I tried to scan something and for some reason I found this problem I am having now. The only thing that has changed in that time is that I installed JAWS13 and subsequent updates. Is there some conflict with JAWS and Eye Pal voices. I hope someone can help me with this as I have asked a number of people, including the distributor of the product where I live and they have no answers. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling however, this has not resolved the problem. I hope there is someone out there who can help.
