no go,when I stopped it then tab rip didn't come up

Hello try the following;
1, place cd into drive close the drawer.
In a few seconds the music should start to play,
Press ctrl+s=stop,
Now you should be able to tab to the rip button.

I’m using windows media player,& want to rip a few discs but can’t remember
how to get to the rip button.
I’m also using windows 7.
Can someone please give me the steps to rip a c d ?
