That is how you do it since there is no way to connect the drives directly
to each other.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Backing up External HD

Anyone know a good way to back up an external Hard Drive? I have a 1
terabyte external drive that I would like to back up to another external
drive simply because it's about 5 or so years old and the data on it is
probably irreplaceable. I really didn't want to try just plugging another
external drive into another USB port on my laptop and just transfer like 900
gigs across using my computer. It seems inefficient somehow.
Thanks in advance
