Here's the jaws users guide for audacity:
http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-2.0-Guide.html

You would do something like import the existing file in off the import submenu on the file menu, first.

Once the track is imported, you'd generally be focused on the audio track, and hitting ctrl + A will select whole track.

Then using ctrl + F6 to navigate around the three main parts, the second one, or thereabouts which should be the one you'd focus on after the track panel, and if you then tab around that piece, you will come across selection start and end controls, and there you use left and right arrow keys to navigate through like 2 number controls per hour, minute, and then on to seconds, and depending on if you have it displaying milliseconds as well, then possibly 3 number characters for milliseconds.

Either way, sort of when you land in selection start/end controls, play around with manipulating the entry to make it start and end at the right points, to select the piece you want, and I think that if you tell it to play, by activating the play button on the third main piece you would land on if hitting ctrl + F6 from those controls, it should play the selection to you, and on the file menu, there's an export selection submenu, where it would let you export the selected piece to a new file, but, for example, by default this would be in .wav audio file format, but, on the above users guide, you'll find instructions relating to enabling exporting to MP3 - easy enough.

Lastly, there might be some easier/simpler ways to handle something like this, but I've done similar things enough using audacity myself.

Stay well

I am lost, I ran audasity and opened the mp3 file. I can not see where to select the parts that I want deleted. Are there scripts to use this with jaws?

I use audacity for things like this - would select the rest of the file, and
export the selection easily enough.

I would like to remove about 20 seconds at the end of a mp3 file. What is the easiest way to do it?
