Hi Trish,
Before you change the numbers, check the boxes first.
Then apply your changes before okaying the dialogue.
HTH,
Rick Justice

David,

I got up to this point..
pop.gmail.com mail
account is selected, and click the Properties button.
12. On the Advanced tab, enter 465 in the box next to Outgoing mail (SMTP),
and check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection
(SSL).
13. Check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
under Incoming mail (POP3). The box next to Incoming mail (POP3) should
automatically update to 995.

My box first said before editing: 25, the other is: 110
I removed those numbers put in what you stated here..
after checking the 2 box's and tab to the apply button, the 995 did not
change, but the 465 went back to 25.

So, do I leave as is or what??

Check the tips and tricks page for the information you require, it's been
there for quite some time.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] GMail Account

I finally got one of these complicated email accounts, now I'm wondering if
I have bite off more than I can chew.

The purpose for it in first place was to put it on my iPhone, so that is
done. The other thing is I need to I guess is set it up with my window's
mail and this is where y'all come in..
So, what is the procedure to get it in my email client?

Thanks,

Trish
