I was a little surprised to see so many issues with using tables in MS Word. Use Insert plus V to make sure table reading is on. You can even identify the reading of cell headings or row headings as you move up and down or across the table's cells. Just use control plus alt and up or down arrows to move up or down a column; use control plus alt and left and right arrows to move from cell to cell within a table; at the last cell, use tab to move to the next row; edit each individual cell as though it were a separate paragraph; and life with tables is beautiful -- at least with JAWS 12. Of course, as with many functions, things don't quite work as well with JAWS 13. Let's hope FS went back to JAWS 12 to build JAWS 14.
