Rosemarie, One of the easiest ways to find that function with Windows 7 
Is by using your Search function.
Just press the Windows key to open the Search field.
Begin typing with the word "disk".  The first option will be  Disk Cleanup.
So press the spacebar after "disk"  and continue  typing  with the D in
Defragmenter.
You probably won't get past that letter before the system brings up exactly
what you want.
Just press enter on that choice and the dialog opens.
