[Blind-Computing] a certain email

I keep getting  a certain email from a friend that has her name but a different 
email address and all that is on it is a link which is infected.
I have told her about it and she said it is not from her but I know it is 
because I only have one friend with that name?
could she possibly be right and could an address book worm change the senders 
email address?
