Hi John, Here is a better explanation of the settings I suggested changing. In AdobeX in the General tab the checkbox, Enable Protected Mode at startup, needs to be unchecked for Jaws to work correctly but, this checkbox is not in the General tab in AdobeXI, it's in the Security Enhanced tab.
On the Security Enhanced tab, I unchecked the options below. This is the only option that really needs to be unchecked, Enable Protected Mode at startup, I unchecked this box. Enable Enhanced Security, I unchecked this box but, if this box is left checked Adobe works just fine. Take care.
