Hello all. My friend is using Jaws twelve and Windows 7. She recently purchased a USB sound card 7.1 pro made by SIIG. Incidentally, this sound card came with software which she did not install because she simply wants to use this in order to separate Jaws from the output to her speakers. After then plugging a headset in to the headphone jack on the external sound card, she went to the Jaws window and then to the sound card submenu and checked the new sound card but Jaws continues to come out of her speakers rather than her headset. Since it didn't work, she unplugged the sound card from her computer and received a message that said something about her USB port not being strong enough for the device. (Sorry, I don't recall the actual wording.) My questions are these, could it be that this new sound card was designed for USB 3.0 and if so, can she purchase a USB 3.0 port and use it in her Windows 7 machine? Any help would be appreciated.
