I have two questions per the below. Using Jaws 14, Win 7, and G-Data Internet Security; I'd recently been periodically hearing a help balloon say, "G-data Internet Security is not running click here to start G-Data Internet Security.
I get same, but not all the time, with Windows Defender, though I had that turned off because of G-Data running, an dit is indeed off. I've had my wife look at the status icons of G-Data and it shows on, I look in the system tray and I get options of disable firewall, disable virus protection, etc. so I assume it is on. I've looked in the process and services running and the firewall and G-Data scan is running. I've looked in msconfig and G-Data is set to start at start up. So I asume it's up and running as it should. Unless for some reason as with other programs, when they are busy Windows 7, which is classic for me anyway, will mis inform a program is not running, when in fact it is just under heavy load at the time, such as Quickbooks when backing up. G-Data goes out to the net and checks for virus updates every 45-minutes or so, and though I haven't connected that dot yet, but I wonder if that is why? How can I access or click this help balloon before it disappears, I've tried to find it but maybe there's a Jaws hot key? Any clues to why this message?
