Hi Cliff,

Can you kindly mention what type of files you sent? If they are in excel,
you can password protect them. If this is the case they will have to enter
the password to the file in order to view them. Also you can check on the
properties of the file. Navigate to the file in question hit alt enter to
open the properties box and check if the file is write or view protected.
These will be check boxes unchecking them will change the properties of the
file.

I sent a couple of files to a friend, as attachments. 

She was unable to open them as the computer message read, 

"View Protected". 

I've never had this happen before. 

How can my friend circumvent that code and open those attachments?
