a few notes although most are based on Winamp.
on the shuffle mode thing in Winamp, if I start a shuffle mode after... I
have started a play list, it for me at least shuffles among the songs in the
play list.
I have (I listen to several kinds of music) a NT rock list, containing
almost all my rock folder music, and a NT {means near total} country list,
and the shuffle does its selections from the list (I have a number of
selections that are "when I'm in the mode for them" items that aren't in
these play lists. and they are not included when I hit shuffle on either
list even though there in the same folders as the rest of the songs.
also I have no problem using and finding the current song in a playlist in
the Winamp playlist editor, these items are why I started using Winamp to
start with, smile
so, my recommendation would be to use Winamp, if your willing, I find it
much easier to navigate in and with.

I recently put my cd collection on my hard drive in mp3 format and I got
this real cool toy called an audio engine wireless adapter that sends the
music downstairs to the stereo. I am using windows media player with windows
7. I would like to be able to use shuffle mode to shuffle a play list. If I
turn shuffle on, the songs are picked from the whole collection. Now we
don't want that because we don't want to hear Christmas songs in the middle
of may. In the play list options sufffle list is unavailable. I tried winamp
but cant stand it because it puts all kinds of other junk on the computer.
Also when I stop the play list, it doesn't tell me what track is playing.
Any ideas? thanks
