Hi Amber,

The problem seems to be more complicated than I think it is. If it is not
booting and going to your desktop, I am not sure what to suggest. However,
if you are wanting to boot your computer in safe mode do this: Press the F8
key when you have restarted the computer, keep this key pressed till after
the windows log on screen disappears.

the trouble that i am having, when i turn on my computer people that can see
it say it looks like it wants to start up but, it does not get to the start
up screen but when they put it in safe mode they can see my files but it
still wont start up in safe mode either can someone tell me how to get into
safe mode myself so i can try what someone sugests thanks,  amber
